Porkgasm
Compared to others out there in the 'verse or 'nets this is a drop in the bucket, but any food that makes me giggle as I make it it worth sharing with you. It all started on a wonderful Friday morning of another three day weekend. I had a bunch of good breakfast ingredients to make many-a-good breakfasts with, but instead I combined all their powers in to the The Great Pork Breakfast Sandwich. I started with two breakfast sausage patties. Seared them on both sides, so that they are still pink in the middle. Since they were too thick to fit in the sandwich I sliced them and finished cooking them. Next was three slices of ham made for sandwiches. After frying the ham, I fried up two slices of bacon. Draining the pan I dipped two pieces of whole grain bread in an egg, salt, nutmeg mixture (French toast style) and cooked them. I then added the rest of the egg mixture with a single egg, added some salt and pepper and cooked that.
Once it was all done I stacked it up and added, last but not least, a spread of maple butter on the top slice of the French toast.

I figure this is about 900 to 1100 calories and 50 or 60 grams of fat. Granted, I wont make this again, it was just too much, how ever I can totally see making smaller versions with a half slice of sausage patty, half lice of bacon, one ham slice and a bit of egg, then drizzle more of the maple butter on it. For the sandwich itself, it was too mushy. I did a good job with making the bacon crispy, otherwise the whole thing was a big pile of push. If I were to do this again I would toast the bread a little first, then make the French toast, leave out the sausage and add more of the maple butter. Candied bacon would go well in this too, but that is for another day.
