    OK, I will post the first comment. As half of the readers know the author of this blog went out of his way to make my 30th birthday a great one. (I will stick with what he has been doing and leave off people’s names.) I truly appreciate all his hard work and everybody’s generosity. Thank you again "Mr. Author" I love the presents.

    The author organized a surprise collaborative birthday present between my friends and family to get me 3 brew kettles and thermometers to go with 2 of the kettles. My goal is to get the Brutus 10 (all-grain) brew system running by the middle of May.

    The question I pose is: what should the first batch of beer be on this brew system. I love my hops and stouts and I have made plenty of each type. Should I stick with that or change it up and try a different style of brew?

    I also have a second question to pose. Go to The Bruery's blog (http://bruery.blogspot.com/) and read the post for April 1st. Does the Head Brewer actually have a sexual fetish for baby seals? I say yes. lol.

Lock Down Hobby Time #1 Road Bases in 10 easy steps!

So during lock down, I have been able to get some painting time. Through the miracle of not commuting 2 hours a day and nap time for my children, I can get a good 1 -3 hours a day about 4 days a week to paint and hobby. I have finished up painting most of the Speed Freeks, or at least the ones I use in games on the regular, so when it came time to base them I wanted to base them the same as my bikers: Cork, dashed road lines, and nothing fancy. So I started with the stencil I’d use to make the dashed lines. The biker bases I free handed the lines, and that was a pain being about 5 minutes per base, it took too long. Also, I got some lines messed up and dashes that were unequal in size. Using a stencil was the best bet. I had never made one before but I saw some guy on FB make one using tape, so I did that. Tournament what...?

Games played So, I have realized that the last 6 games I've played, I lost. To recap, game 1, 500 points against Matrix (and his one knight) I lost by a point and 1 wound. Game 2, full 2k against Matrix and his Death Watch (DW), Lost by not playing for objectives and realizing the glass hammer of Orks. Game 3, Matrix again, but optimized to kill knights, I lost by him killing me, duh... this game I played a list I didn't like. Game 4, against King and lost because I charged Berserkers and could not use unstoppable green tide. Game 5, was a Kill Team game against Jeep, where I charge a Thunder Hammer wielding Gray Knight with my Tyranid Warrior Leader and lost, because he had hammer of wrath.
